Spring 2010 Trends with Mileage: Bright Knit Dress

The color choice (a slightly warm turquoise) is trendy, but the versatility of the knit dress is something I developed an affection for at the end of last summer. Prior to that, my preferences ran to woven, natural fabrics- scarred by a childhood in the 80′s, I guess. But oh, the wonder that is a bright knit dress! As comfortable as pyjamas, great for the summer heat, looks pulled together with a few accessories, and goes with everything. Of course, like any other miracle garment it does have its pitfalls- it takes some looking around to find one of sufficiently heavy gauge knit and with good coverage, but not frumpy looking.

To be completely realistic, part of what I love about these dresses is that you can just toss them on with sandals, but to venture a bit further afield…
